Hi everyone and welcome to the Beech Hill allotments forum.  I'm Carmen and many of you will have met me when you came to pick out your allotment plots and sign up for your tenancy.  It was a lovely day and I really enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to seeing lots more of you all in the future down at the site.  I invite you to introduce yourself and share with the other plot holders what you like to grow and how long you've been growing things. Do you have much past experience with permaculture and the 'no dig' way of growing?  What are your interests?

Kind wishes
Carmen

Hi everyone

I am Sarah, we have plot H9, you'll see me there with my two small people: Elodie and Leo mostly and then with my husband, Tom at weekends mainly.

I've grown veg, pretty haphazardly, for quite a few years. I've never liked using chemicals etc so have a running war with slugs! I have zero experience of this method, so I'm hoping I can do it justice!

Looking forward to meeting you all and watching this project grow ❤️

Thanks for the introduction Sarah!  I also have no experience with this method and I think a lot of us are in the same boat.  Many of us will be learning together and hopefully can give each other a bit of support along the way.

I'm looking forward to seeing the project grow too.  I can't believe how quickly the site has changed just this week!  Imagine how it will look in a few months!

We are H2. The oldies near the car park!!    New to oermacuture but allotmentiers and gardeners for many years.  Looking for an easier way to keep on growing our own top quality veg and fruit without the labour of digging, spraying, hoeing and weeding     it will be quite a conversion for us but, we are looking forward to meeting others, sharing ideas and learning as we go.  Here's to a great year!  Paul and Yvonne

Hi Paul and Yvonne,

Thanks for the introduction. It's great to have you on the site and it looks like you're off to a fantastic start!  I, too am really looking forward to learning a new way of doing things that saves my back and knees a bit and am so excited to see how the site will look this time next year!  It's come on so much just in the last 2 weeks since people started signing up for the plots.

Enjoy the developing experience :)
